Each section of plywood on the outside of a hockey rink is called a ‘rink board’ and today it is hard to find a single rink board that is not polluting hockey fans’ subconscious minds with advertising. I attend the Ontario Hockey League’s North Bay Battalion Junior A home games at Memorial Gardens. This is a farm league for the NHL. OHL games are televised so the rink boards are full. There are a couple that are very dark and I sometimes lose sight of the puck as it passes in front of those abominations – which actually interfere with viewing the game. North Bay has a Canadian Forces Air Base for which the team name Battalion refers. In a completely ridiculous Cabal ritual, at the opening of each game and period the Battalion players come on to the ice through an air filled tank (symbolic female tunnel) and pass under the large front gun barrel (folic symbol). To boot, the team mascot ‘Sarge’ skates around in full military uniform. War anybody?
A few years ago a ‘classic’ NHL game from decades ago was televised in Canada. I noticed that the rink boards were all white without any advertising at all. Some viewers commented that the broadcast would have been more authentic if the originally aired TV commercials had been left in. The station replied that there were no TV ads in the original broadcast.
Here is a link to some of Bobby Orr’s Greatest which show rink boards that are all white, and the logo at center ice is the team logo. There are no other symbols or ads.

Today televised hockey is a bankers dream. All the rink boards are full and there are timeouts for TV ads.
The arenas have been taken over as evident from their current names.
The Toronto Maple Leafs no longer play at Maple Leaf Gardens, but at The Scotiabank Arena.
The Calgary Flames play at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
The Montreal Canadiens no longer play at the Forum, but at The Bell Center.
The Winnipeg Jets play at Bell MTS Place.
The Ottawa Senators play at The Canadian Tire Center. Canadian Tire is Canada’s largest privately controlled corporation.
The Washington Capitals play at The Capital One Arena.
The New York Islander’s play at the Barclays Center, named after London bankers.
The Anaheim Ducks play at the Honda Center.
The Buffalo Sabres play at the KeyBank Center.
The New Jersey Devils play at the Prudential Center.
The Boston Bruins play at the TD Center (Toronto-Dominion Bank).
The Philadelphia Flyers play at the Wells Fargo Center.
Their corporate symbols are embedded at center ice.
Other advertising is done through the ‘star’ players who earn big bucks from sponsorship. In fact, all players have become ads as the size and number of corporate logos on hockey equipment is now ‘stupeed’.
Let’s not forget that a major hockey equipment corporation is Bauer, the Rothschilds’ former name.
Outdoor Rinks
I grew up playing outdoor hockey in North Bay ON Canada. Children skated for hours, sweated, froze, laughed, and got to know the neighborhood kids. When I was a teenager many of those rinks shut down due to lack of funding – reportedly caused by high insurance rates from accident payouts. This great form of exercise with its communal benefits was successfully attacked by the bankers and their insurance companies.
Violence
Let me ‘stick’ this in. I enjoyed playing hockey until I was 16, when I perceived a change in coaching style across the leagues. During practices and play the coaches encouraged players to constantly use their stick to whack the puck carrier – on the side of his pants or shin pads, but not hard enough to draw a penalty. Hockey became hackey. I came home with red marks on my arms. The fun was gone so I quit playing until years later. Some force had successfully brought increased violence to hockey decades ago.
Penalties Cost Bankers the Game in Overtime Loss
So bankers, please get your … kindly get your … ‘puck off’… of the ice.
Last year my friend Eric got me to play shinny at Greenhill Park outdoor rink. We laughed when he commented, “It’s been 50 years since we played here together.”
Since those childhood games I learned the ancient Vedic lesson: if you play in competition, then you age (due to stress), if you play for fun, then you do not age. There was no hacking at other players and everyone had a great deal of fun as we bounced passes off of the unpainted ice and pure white rink boards amid the Sun’s rays.
