The Fool Tarot Card
The Tarot Card deck celebrates the goddess Tarot, a representation of the divine feminine. The Fool Card relates to new beginnings and often to endings. It can be an omen – you can choose to treat upcoming tough decisions with optimism. The fool is a jester or a clown. The Joker in the standard playing card deck is still a good representation of the original Tarot fool card and it is widely used as a wild card or TRUMP card, overpowering all other cards.
A famous song informs us that ‘Everybody Plays the Fool.’ Viewed through the lens of social norms, newer souls play the fool – they don’t perform as expected. Usually this comes from lack of experience. Anyone can play the fool at any time. Non-light workers can see light workers as fools for we have played the fool card. Light workers had a new beginning when we picked up non-socially promoted and less accepted ideas and we act on and talk about them. Old habits ended. In a sense we are born again. We are now FUNNY compared to earlier in life. My Mom thinks I’ve been brainwashed by one guy on the internet.
I like that jesters, jokers and clowns make people smile and laugh. They seek laughter, that high vibration emotion that erupts physically. I have a red clown nose on my bedside table. Two or three times a year I secretly slip it on at a family event and I receive the joy of spontaneous human reactions.
Perception of a clown has been sickened with movies and books including Stephen King’s ‘IT’ and ‘The Dark Knight’ (Batman). Yet free will gives us a choice of what perception to choose.
In my recent post ‘Earth Game part 2: Illusion’ I brought forward the idea of an Earth Angel clown. Note the word Angel in there. My perception of an Earth Angel clown is based on Dr. Hunter Adams and the role played by Robin Williams in the movie Patch Adams. Dr. Adams uses buffoonery to break through to medical patients to communicate with compassion in a truly human way. He wears a red clown nose and carries out various antics to bring joy to patients, especially children with cancer. Patch gets in trouble for playing the Joker and breaking some ‘old’ rules. Then in my favorite scene, Adams is in front of the medical board panel when the children patients enter the balcony and all at the same time put on red clown noses. The case is dismissed with Patch being applauded for increasing the quality of life of patients. The movie reflects real life in that the good Doctor opened ‘The Gesundheit Institute,’ a non-profit healthcare organization based on the belief that one cannot separate the health of the individual from the health of the family, the community, the society, and the world. Its mission is to reframe and reclaim the concept of ‘hospital.’ Thousands of doctors have volunteered their time and talents in this pursuit. Dr. Adams biography includes the fact that he is a clown, an Earth Angel clown.
