Today we will answer the question, Did Trump indeed consider martial law as an option? And is it true the US military doesn't support use of martial law? Miller is viewed as a Trump supporter. According to a report submitted to Congress by the U.S. Special Operations Forces on December 14, “U.S. Special Operations Command has about 70,000 Active Duty, National Guard, and reserve personnel”. Let's say we assign half of the 70,000 special operations personnel to carry out martial law duties in 6-7 key states. This would be equivalent to 5,000 people per state, which is quite a large amount. One of the main duties of the Special Forces is to carry out missions within the United States. So theoretically, President Trump has the capability to invoke martial law. The fact that the senior general of the U.S. Army has publicly responded to the speculation of "martial law", showing that this is no longer a rumor, but a real possibility.
So how should we approach President Trump’s decision? I think the controversy in the election and US enemies are all using "authoritarian" methods to attack America’s democracy. Lots of people agree that democracy has its benefits in ordinary times, but when it comes to crises, past presidents in history have taken extreme measures to help the country survive. However, America's domestic enemies and foreign countries are also gaining experience and becoming more sly and pervasive.
