Some points to clarify....
At present there are no official dedicated quarantine 'camps' (that we know of). The only people being quarantined (that we know of) are people coming in from overseas - and they are being quarantined in hotels for two weeks. These tourist quarantines used to be free of charge but travellers are now being charged $3000 for their two-week stay.
That interview excerpt of Prime Minister Ardern speaking about the enforced testing is old footage.
We are going into summer here and COVI_D has become virtually a non-issue. Life is back to normal. We can travel overseas to countries where borders are open - BUT we have to do the two-week quarantine on our return. Kiwis consider it too expensive so we are not travelling overseas.
I am a realist though - I know the PM could throw this country back into full lockdown any time she likes.
