Have you ever wondered where our calendar comes from?

And our second?

If not, I would like to give you an insight into why these two things are so immensely important for us humans and for our understanding of our world and science.

First of all, here is a short introduction to the different calendars of our world. Today we live with the so-called Gregorian calendar. It is called so because Pope Gregory introduced it. Before that we had the Julian calendar (which was so named because Julius Caesar introduced it), before that the lunar calendar, before that the solar calendar. Parallel to that, for a long time now, the Chinese calendar and the Jewish calendar and many other small ones have been running. A calendar is needed to divide time and bring order to the temporal course of life. Calendars refer to sunrise and sunset, day lengths and the duration of one sun orbit or, in the case of lunar calendars, the cycle duration of one full moon orbit. After one revolution of the sun, the rhythm of the seasons as we know it starts all over again, with sometimes more, sometimes less regularity, and the celestial bodies are pretty much where they were a year ago. But seasons may not have always existed, but only since a relatively short time in the geological history in the distinctive form we know. Because the division into days alone is no longer sufficient, at the latest in our time, one does not only divide the year into as many days as there are sunrises and sunsets, but also the year into months, the months perhaps again into weeks or periods of other lengths and above all: the day into mornings and afternoons and hours, minutes, seconds and even for scientific purposes into much smaller units.

In our electronic world of today, it is unthinkable to turn away from these systems that indicate rhythm. And also in history, the knowledge of how many days it took the grain to grow big, or how many hours the flood needed to return, or how many years a human being will grow old, can and is important for the control of everyday, vital processes, for self-knowledge, for the prediction of harvests, weather, life spans and costs and last but not least tax revenue. Today we have a very precise definition of the second, which, unlike in the past, is no longer the "86,400th part of a mean solar day", but now as "9,192,631,770 times the period of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine structure levels of the ground state of atoms of the caesium isotope 133Cs".

This means that since about 1950, the second has been decoupled from the solar system and orbital periods of the nature surrounding us and has become a freely fixed unit that can be used in a standardized way in all electronic devices since then. This procedure is understandable, because the changes in orbital times are so long and small in comparison to the life of a human being or the useful life of a computer, that one falls back on standard values instead of a continuous adaptation to nature, which would inevitably entail constant changes in quantity, time and size, which in turn would be extremely difficult to implement in the economy. Nevertheless, decoupling from nature is not unproblematic, as shown, for example, by human (and plant) biorhythms. Predictions of solar eclipses, planetary positions, ebb and flow cannot be made without astronomical measurements, results and number systems.

Of course, rulers at all times have recognized and used the possibility not only to make predictions for the benefit of the general public, but also to change or conceal certain numbers for their own benefit. Originally one counted the week in 5 days, each finger of one hand one day, then further with the second hand, which led to the "big week" with 10 days. The next increase was the observation of the moon from new to full moon and back. According to the old traditions, this period of time was measured with 30 days, and so one had the first "month". 12 months of 30 days each make a year with 360 days. The weekly counting with 7 days was also introduced quite early (but after the 360 days), whereby the observation of the celestial bodies visible to the naked eye served as a basis: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn. It was also found that a quarter of the time span from new moon to new moon - e.g. from new moon to quarter moon - takes 7 days.

The Gregorian calendar was introduced by Pope Gregory in 1582 after long deliberation over several centuries(!). Initially it was only valid for the whole of Christendom and for countries with a Catholic majority.

Many other countries introduced it only gradually, not least for economic reasons, to join a common basis; for example, Russia in 1918 and Turkey, which joined the calendar in 1926. The Gregorian calendar or a reform of the existing calendar was discussed as early as 1300 AD due to serious problems.

The Gregorian calendar is based on the 365, 2425 days per year or solar rotation of the earth measured at that time. It contains a corresponding leap year rule (after every 4th year a day is added to compensate for the 0.2425 days) and further leap days were introduced according to certain rules. With this reform one wanted to achieve that one corrected once and for all the established error, namely that e.g. the vernal equinox had shifted further and further in the course of the year. As a point of reference, this Gregorian calendar set the year "0"; logical, since this plays an important role in church history. The Julian calendar, which was in use until 1582, was based on a year of 365.25 days, and therefore had simpler leap year rules (after every third year, a year was supposed to have one more day). It was introduced 46 years before our calendar by Julius Caesar. This calendar found many followers, but it was by no means a "world calendar". At the Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D. this calendar was adopted for the "whole of Christendom". The calendar was by no means error-free; about 100 years before the introduction of the Julian calendar, Hipparchus found that within 150 years the equinox had shifted by about half a day. From this he concluded that the year was not 365.25 days long, but somewhat shorter. But he was not listened to...

There is also the Jewish calendar, which, although it is a lunar calendar, is actually particularly striking in that it contains the creation of man in the year 3761 B.C. as a reference point for its beginning and is therefore today (2016) in the year 5776. The Chinese calendar, the Mohammedan calendar, some smaller calendar projects by different scientists of the old and modern times, revolution calendars with respective reference point - all have some things in common: The old traditional calendars from prehistoric times assume 360 days for the solar orbit and 30 days for the lunar cycle, while all the more recent calendars already count the 365.25 or 365.2425 days per solar orbit and set the lunar cycle at about 29.5 days.

Heribert Illig wrote in his book "The Invented Middle Ages" about a problem of chronology and many misdating of art and buildings and explained the underlying calendar problem as follows Julius Caesar introduced the calendar named after him in 46 BC. This solar calendar ran until 1582, a total of 1,628 years. In 1582 Pope Gregory reformed the calendar, and the "Gregorian calendar" is now in use.

The Julian calendar assumes a year length of 365.25 days with a leap year after every third year. The Gregorian calendar assumes a year length of 365.2425 days, which is slightly less. So Julius Caesar made a mistake. Pope Gregory corrected this mistake by jumping from the 4th to the 15th October 1582, thus bringing the equinox back to the 21st March and correcting the calendar. Illig now argues: The Julian calendar with the wrong, somewhat longer year length ran from 46 B.C. to 1582 A.D.; that is, for 1628 years. The yearly occurring error is therefore the length of the Julian year minus the length of the Gregorian year, i.e. 365.25 - 365.2425 = 0.0075 days. If this error occurs over a total of 1,628 years, then we simply have to multiply and find that we are talking about an error of 1,628 times 0.0075 days = 12.21 days. Pope Gregory jumped from October 4 to October 15, so he skipped 10 days, but not 12.21. Skipping the difference of 0.21 days would not have worked either, but at least he could have done the 2.

But the fact is: Pope Gregor did everything astronomically right! The equinox was again on 21 March, and the calendar was perfectly adjusted. But if the difference, as we saw above, is now 12.21 days and he only skipped 10 days and did everything correctly, then in this calculation only the year number can be the source of error - the running time of the calendar must therefore be shorter, namely a number of years corresponding to a year length error of 10 days. But historically we have a whole series of clues that prove that there are indeed 1,628 years between the two dates.

There is a continuous series of popes and in the Chinese area, for example, there is a continuous series of rulers and dynasties. Illig now goes and says that he can prove their wrong assignment to dates on the basis of architecture and art objects and describes the dark period of history, because completely without scientific proof, as a complete fake. That means: 10 days are corrected, 12,21 we have calculated. But it should be only 10, representing 1,333.33 years, instead of 1,628 years. The difference, namely 2.21 days, representing 294.66 years, was, according to Illig, simply and patently invented. He places this period of 294 years in the time between 600 and 900 and cites as circumstantial evidence that Emperor Pippin, the father of Charlemagne, for example, falls in this period. According to common historiography, he had given the Pope the Papal States (Vatican) as a gift. Unfortunately, the Pope did not realize this until 300 or 294 years later, when he claimed these lands and goods with a pile of, among other things, forged documents, as even recognized science knows today. We will come back to this calculation later.

One may now rightly ask why the correction of only 10 days set everything right again, when a simple mathematical task leads this ad absurdum. Then why is it that in our reference books we always find the same wrong calculation again and again without contradiction or criticism? So-called specialists claim that Gregory referred to the Council of Nicaea (325 A.D.) because at that time the calendar was either corrected or at least the beginning of spring was fixed at March 21.

Unfortunately, however, there is no proof of this assertion whatsoever. Thus the time gap between Caesar and Pope Gregory XIII could be about 300 years shorter than previously thought. For the time in between, which we would have to call fictitious time (Illig from 614 to 911), there are no real documents.

Since these centuries are considered the "Dark Middle Ages" anyway, because historical records and suitable archaeological finds are extremely rare, and since there is no early medieval settlement history to be found in any of today's cities of Roman origin, and since the corresponding historical sources were often only compiled centuries later, and since several hundred Byzantine cities seem to have been uninhabited during this time, everything speaks in favour of the thesis that a whole period of time has been entered into the history books here that was not there before.

In Islamic Spain, the finds by no means begin in 711 after the conquest, but only in the early 10th century. If Illig's thesis should prove true, not a single find should be able to prove the opposite. In his examination of the most varied finds, documents, buildings and works of art, it can be seen time and again that Illig could be right. In many cases he is necessarily right in stating that these are wrongly dated, but again he is not necessarily right in stating that this is automatically the proof for invented years. For example, the Aachen Palatine Chapel was built without a building lodge, without direct predecessors or successors, and thus, although it is the most famous building of our time, it cannot be explained from an architectural-historical point of view. Building techniques need to be invented and tested beforehand, but the evidence, sources and buildings are missing. The Lorscher Torhalle moves from 770 or 870 into the early 12th century. The few other churches of the "Carolingian period" can be casually integrated into the Ottonian one. Carolingian book illumination also classifies Illig as in reality Ottonian and for this reason hardly distinguishable from the works of art of this period.

The emperors Constantine VII and Otto III and Pope Silvester II were the originators of the calendar reform. Otto (Emperor 996-1002) wanted to herald the seventh world day as the representative of Jesus Christ according to the old Christian calculation 6,000 years after creation. The Pope (999-1003) enthroned by him, an expert in Arabic astronomy and mathematics, supported him. Since Otto's mother was a descendant of the Byzantine court, the connection to the imperial house there can be taken for granted. The Persians (Byzantines) had stolen the most important relic of Christianity, the Cross of Golgotha, in 614. In Illig's view, it is self-explanatory that the recovery of the relic could only be told and motivated within an invented time. Illig sees a conspiracy in the change of the reference point of the annual censuses. The Byzantines changed from 1014 Seleucid Era to 6508 Creation Era, the Christians in the West from 419 Martyr Era to 1000 A.D. The Jews joined in and set from 1014 Seleucid Era to 4464 after Creation Era.

It seems inexplicable why cultural operators in Europe, without exception and in secret, have introduced new censuses. It also seems very understandable that with so many different numbers, almost 300 years could have been inserted quickly, especially since these inserted years already lay in the long forgotten past, from which only documents were left and the experts knew.

What Illig leaves completely unspoken with these highly effective facts and theses, however, are the physical facts of the origin of the year. If we assume that the earth as a planet with an angular momentum and kinetic energy is moving within a magnetic and gravitational field, then the laws of conservation of momentum apply here, among others. In other words, the system tries to compensate for disturbances and restore the original state.

If the rotation of the earth is disturbed by the collision with another large celestial body, nature tries to restore the whole system, the old state. If, for example, the year of (originally a few thousand years ago) 360 days is extended by a disturbance from outside or divided up to now 365.25 days (in Julius Caesar's case), perhaps even more (unfortunately we do not have any exact measurement data), the system tries to restore the year to 360 days. This means that the year becomes shorter every year (calculated in days).

If we assume that the various measurements handed down from modern times and from Gregory's times are correct, then today's solar year is 365.2421 days, and that of Gregory's time was 365.2425 days, giving a difference of 0.0004 days. This difference has formed within the time of 1582-2000 (last measurement published everywhere according to Wikipedia). So that makes 418 years. Difference divided by running time = 0.0004 : 418 = 0.0000009569377 average decrease in length per year

Assuming that the length of the mean solar year has statistically averaged out over the centuries by just this amount per year, this means for the entire duration of the Julian calendar of 1,628 years 1628 x 0.0000009569377 = 0.0015579 days. I add this to the Gregorian solar year length and arrive at a result of 365.24406 days for the beginning of the Julian calendar. Although this is not the length of an average solar year mentioned in the Julian calendar, it was already then incorrect or too long, because even Hipparchus (190-120 B.C.) knew that the year was shorter. One finds the following remark in an old physics manual (Gehler, J. S. T. Physical Dictionary):

"Hipparchus of Alexandria, after the news of Ptolemy (Amalgest. L. III.), observed the times of the equinoxes and solstices with great care. He compared his observations with those made by Aristarchus of Samos 145 years before him, and found that the solstices had arrived 12 hours earlier since that time. According to this determination, the true length of the year (12/145) or near (1/12) hour, i.e. 5 minutes shorter than the Callippian period, seemed to him to be only 365 hours 5 hours 55 minutes.

This corresponds to approximately 365.246528 days per year and is quite equal to the actual value for the solar year length of 365.244xx calculated back then with this approach.

So if we justifiably assume a slightly erroneous determination (against our better knowledge or despite demonstrably available more precise data) of the length of the mean solar year under Caesar, and if we add up the annual shortening of the year by 0.0000009569377 days per year since the Gregorian reform up to the year 2000, an error that decreases slightly every year to the Julian solar year length, we arrive at a sum of 10.7911474 days, which is almost a spot landing on the 10 days corrected by Pope Gregory.

So much for our calendar...

So if the earth originally rotated slower and less and changed both values by a "push" in flight and rotation direction, this naturally has an influence on time. If the day was originally longer, and yet divided into night and day and on top of that into 24 hours, then this longer period of time covered by these "original" hours must be greater than that covered by our "modern" hours today.

One can calculate this very easily.

What applies to hours applies equally to minutes and seconds.

And now comes the important point.

The laws of nature have not changed by changing the rotational speed of the earth.

But the second did.

And then in our world EVERYTHING energy is in frequency, and since we measure frequency in "Hertz", which means "oscillation per second", we are measuring EVERYTHING in the frequency domain WRONG today.

Since we in science refer to a "modern" second and try to elucidate laws of nature, constants, formulas, dependencies and calculations on this basis, we humans have made a mistake that prevents us from recognizing the normally very simple formulas of nature.

Here a half of it, an integer multiple of it, and so on.

With the "original" second, our scientists would probably have noticed some fundamental correlations long ago, which have remained closed to them until now.

You can read more about this in my book "World Conspiracy".
