Orange, a town in the Vaucluse twenty kilometres north of Avignon, was taken by Guilhelm (William), a fief of Charlemagne, around the year 800. Guilhelm d'Orange is considered to be the ancestor of the present dynasty of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The origin of this Guilhelm d'Orange is still being discussed by historians, he is said to be of Jewish or Mengrogian origin. The work of the Swiss scholar Werner Greub, whose study Wolfram von Eschenbach, first published in 1974, and the reality of the Grals. Greub, born in 1906, is a pupil of the Austrian philosopher Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925), the spiritual father of anthroposophy, also known by him as 'the science of the grail'. Like Steiner, Greub places the story of the grail in the ninth century. Interestingly, Greub designates none other than William of Orange when writing the Parsifal story: the ancestor of the house of Oranje the southern French count Guilhelm d'Orange. This Orange, twice canonised as the blissful patron saint of knights, was one of the most famous rulers of the Middle Ages. The Lincoln, Baigent and Leigh, base their theory that William was of Merovingian descent on this statement. The Merovingians were the first generation of princes with whom the Vatican entered into partnership after the fall of the Roman Empire. In this letter the Pope declare the Magna Charta was to be ignored and reports that the King informs the barrons that he had no legal autroigy to sign the Magna Charta.
