In our Universe free will is paramount, including the choice to speak. Speak aloud / ask and you shall receive. God gifted us with the ability to think, to be patient and work things out in our minds before we speak, or act, or not.
Those who build blog sites and other public venues make free will choices. They use their resources for that purpose. They post site rules such as no foul language. No one is forced to post or read blogs or watch anything. When you ‘choose’ to visit or participate with a blog spot, you accept its terms as part of a free will contract.
I consider blog content to be a form of speech. God sent Jesus to teach us about speech as recorded in Matthew 15:11 (It is) that which cometh out of the mouth, (that) defileth a man.
Leading by example, Jesus told parables. Karmic debt is avoided by a neutral teacher who tells a story with a moral and leaves the free will choice to the student listener.
Listening and answering questions is a part of service to others. Observe the manners and traits of others, and accept them, but ‘Judge not’ (Matthew 7:1).
Many times blogs provide new information. Humans respond with a five step behavioral pattern: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. You can skip or get stuck on each step. The first four steps can be steeped in judgment.
In the 1996 cabal smut movie ’The People Vs. Larry Flynt ‘, Hustler Magazine’s owner defends himself by using the 1st Amendment. Flynt wins at the US Supreme Court and afterwards his lawyer recites Justice Renquest’s decision:
At the heart of the 1st Amendment is the recognition of the fundamental importance of the free flow of ideas. Freedom to speak one’s mind is not only an aspect of individual liberty, but essential to the quest for the truth and the vitality of society as a whole. In the world of debate about public affairs many things done with motives that are less than admirable are nonetheless protected by the 1st Amendment.
